Wednesday Afternoon

Rusk O’Brien Gido + Partners have made sure attendees have plenty of time to network with their peers at the Growth & Ownership Strategies Conference. Beginning with your arrival on Wednesday, you can elect to play in the ROG+ Golf Outing and enjoy the beautiful Tiburón Golf Club adjoining The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples. No matter what your handicap — plan on enjoying an afternoon round — home of the LPGA CME Tour Championship and the QBE Shootout. The shotgun start is 12:30 pm, the ball is in the air at 1:00 and your greens fee, cart and lunch are all included in your registration fee. You can rent clubs by calling Jim Simpson at 239.254.3340. shipsticks-logo1This year, we’ve partnered with Ship Sticks to offer the most convenient and affordable door-to-door shipping service for your golf clubs and luggage. Join the principals of Rusk O’Brien Gido + Partners in a Pre-Conference Ownership Transition and Merger & Acquisition Workshop on Wednesday, November 4th from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. This four-hour workshop will cover the various internal and external options for transitioning ownership in an A/E or environmental consulting firm. It will cover: 1.) The pros and cons of the various transition options; 2.) How a firm’s valuation will differ under different transition scenarios; 3.) Basic elements of an internal transition plan; 4.) How ESOPs can augment an internal transition; 5.) The basics of merging with or selling your firm to an outside entity.

And of course, you can just spend your afternoon at the pool, play tennis, hit the gym or spa — or grab some reading materials and sit on the beach.

Wednesday Night

Whatever your plans are on Wednesday afternoon, be sure to make the ROG+ Welcome Reception, sponsored by Ames & Gough, at the Tiburón Golf Clubhouse adjacent to the Ritz-Carlton at 6:30 pm. Dress casually (many will be coming off the golf course) and be ready to meet more of your peers from all over the United States and Canada. A great way to kick-off the event; hors d’œuvres, quesadillas and sliders with an open bar overlooking the 9th hole.

Thursday Night

The BIG ROG+ Reception is Thursday night poolside at the Ritz-Carlton. After a full day of keynotes and panel discussions (ending at 5:O0 pm) get ready for the BIG ROG+Reception at 6:30 – 9:30 pm. Time to kick-back and listen to the soft tunes of Trevor and enjoy plenty of hors d’œurves, carving stations with an open bar and fine wines. Spouses and companions are welcome!

We’ll wrap it up after a great breakfast, an M&A panel discussion, keynote, final comments and three breakout sessions.

On Friday afternoon, we have once again scheduled our ROG+ Grand Slam Fishing Tournament. Plan on boarding an open trolley in front of the Ritz-Carlton at 12:30 pm for a 15 minute ride to Port-o-Call Marina where we will board numerous fishing vessels with experienced and fun captains for some back water sport fishing.  After the 3 ½ hour outing (from 1:00 to 4:30 ) we will reconvene back at the marina to compare our catch and trade fish tales and then head back to The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort.
